What you'll do

Participants will work through a complete metagenomic analysis while learning the fundamentals of Galaxy, including workflow construction, tool access, and reproducible analysis.

Along the way, the tutorial will demonstrate AI capabilities built into Galaxy and available through external integrations, with a practical discussion of both what these tools can do today and where their limitations remain.

No prior Galaxy experience is required. The session is designed for a mixed audience of scientists, developers, and educators.

By the end of the session, participants will have hands-on experience running a metagenomic analysis in Galaxy and a grounded understanding of how AI assistance can fit into reproducible computational research.
