Hello all,
I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the splendid weather we got (at
least a little). Below I am providing you with a couple of hopefully
interesting suggestions about opportunities to learn more about Galaxy.
Tomorrow one of the creators of RepeatExplorer Jiri Novak from the Biology
Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences is delivering a webinar on Galaxy
Resources for Tool Developers. This should be very useful for anybody
considering putting their tools in Galaxy or running their own instance.
Check out the event and register at
https://galaxyproject.org/events/2021-05-gr4-tool-devs/.
You can also check out the recordings of the previous entries in this
webinar series:

An interesting resource that has reached maturity recently is the COVID-19
Galaxy analysis pipeline developed by the joint effort of the Galaxy
Community and led by the Galaxy EU group. The pipeline automates basic
analysis of sequencing data from SARS-CoV-2 samples based on the COG-UK
efforts and data. Check out the full news at
https://elixir-europe.org/news/covid-19-variants-galaxy.
Similar report-creating endeavour is pursued by the COG-CZ group - see
https://virus.img.cas.cz/.
In ELIXIR CZ we have started to think about the topics for the next Galaxy
workshop. Currently we are leaning towards genomics pipelines and
applications followed by another workshop with machine learning topics.
Please let me know if you have any question, suggestion, a comment etc...
- or just respond - this mailing list is open to everyone.
Thank you for reading all the way down here and have a great day,
Martin
