Hi Kostas, Alex is correct (thanks for the additional feedback!). The team agrees that it would be a nice enhancement, but unfortunately adding in conditional usage help as you describe is not possible for us to do at this time. Hopefully the existing help can get you through your analysis - but please feel free to ask questions about tools/parameters (galaxy-user would be the best mailing list to email). Thanks for using Galaxy! Jen Galaxy team On 10/15/10 1:02 AM, Bossers, Alex wrote:
Kostas,
I have tried this as well. Even though you can use multiple <help></help> tags which show up ok, I wasn’t able to make them conditional. I also tried using the <filter></filter> which works for the data outputs but had no luck yet. It bails out with errors L

Hi all,
When building a tool's interface would it be possible to have a different <help></help> tag for different <param type="select"> options of a 'conditional' tag?
The options change the tool parameters significantly and having a big <help> tag that includes explanation of all parameters of all the options would be a bit confusing.
Thank you,
Kostas
PS. I had some issues with an email alias. Sorry if you got duplicates!
