Hi, 

So, I found my mistake. The problem was in a way a copy and paste error in the universe_wsgi.ini. 
My prefix and cookie_path had different values, the one '/galaxy' the other '/Galaxy'. After setting them to the same, it worked like a charm :)

The database connection is fine, it also creates the history entries in the database, but something is wrong.
