Hi David, Yes there are: t2 class it typically a bit small, particularly t2.small and smaller. m4 and c4 classes work fine but require use of VPC (meaning you need to select a subnet to launch into from the advanced startup options on https://launch.usegalaxy.org/). I haven't tried all the instance types but don't see why other classes would have issues. Please let us know if you find out differently. Sorry for a delayed response.
