Hello Team Galaxy trying to launch a clone cluster of galaxy on cloud amazon EC2 (Scr.1),launching instance on US East region getting error unable to console (Scr.2), insights of team will be very helpful. [cid:DC3AB594-6DEF-4B12-B6C1-6D5ACEC22EEB] [cid:CD19EA5C-961A-4777-A811-DC0FFEBAD796] Thanks Manisha
Are you using credentials that don't give you access to the AWS console? That's my guess as to what's going on in scr2. Does Cloudlaunch actually fail on you when you go to launch, or are you just having trouble with the AWS console? On Mon, Oct 28, 2013 at 2:57 PM, Manisha Sapre <msapre@nmdp.org> wrote:

Good Morning Dannon we have paid amazon service, I log into EC2 using organization credentials, but get that screen ( below) while trying to identify account text string in AWS console section Launching a cloud instance of galaxy would require this account text string [cid:34EDB200-12F1-4ED2-BDA2-5DF99656818B] Thanks Manisha From: Dannon Baker <dannon.baker@gmail.com<mailto:dannon.baker@gmail.com>> Date: Monday, October 28, 2013 5:10 PM To: System Administrator <msapre@nmdp.org<mailto:msapre@nmdp.org>> Cc: "galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu<mailto:galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu>" <galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu<mailto:galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu>> Subject: Re: [galaxy-dev] cloning Galaxy cluster on cloud Amazon EC2 Are you using credentials that don't give you access to the AWS console? Whoever your organization administrator is will need to either create those keys for you, or allow your IAM user access to them. Are you able to contact the person that administers your account? On Tue, Oct 29, 2013 at 10:52 AM, Manisha Sapre <msapre@nmdp.org> wrote:

Yes , all users have been allotted a private key , this error is after ssh-add ( private key), From: Dannon Baker <dannon.baker@gmail.com<mailto:dannon.baker@gmail.com>> Date: Tuesday, October 29, 2013 10:15 AM To: System Administrator <msapre@nmdp.org<mailto:msapre@nmdp.org>> Cc: "galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu<mailto:galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu>" <galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu<mailto:galaxy-dev@lists.bx.psu.edu>>, David Roe <droe@NMDP.ORG<mailto:droe@NMDP.ORG>> Subject: Re: [galaxy-dev] cloning Galaxy cluster on cloud Amazon EC2 Whoever your organization administrator is will need to either create those keys for you, or allow your IAM user access to them. Maybe I misunderstand what you're trying to do, but you shouldn't have to use ssh-add or anything of the sort; cloudlaunch will do this for you. When you put your credentials into those two boxes at usegalaxy.org/cloudlaunch, what exactly happens? On Tue, Oct 29, 2013 at 11:21 AM, Manisha Sapre <msapre@nmdp.org> wrote:

I am unable to put any credentials into those boxes , as I don't see the account text string in AWS console( permission denied screen), hence I tried adding it manually using ssh-add Should this be a problem with root access ? Your ssh keys are completely different from the keys you're looking for here. An AWS account with root access should be able to see these, as far as I know, but since you're unable to see them for whatever reason you will need to contact the primary administrator for your AWS account and I'm sure they can help you out.
