Well this is quite mysterious. I had no problems with altering and saving the 'manipulate fastq' step already in your workflow, Jeremy, but when I tried to add a second 'manipulate fastq' step, it still failed to save. Also the problem is still there with my workflow. Maybe you can work out what's wrong if you have a look at it:

I'm using Firefox, so it can't be an IE issue either.
