Hi Dr. Linney,

The server is very busy, which may account for the partial downloads. For larger files, it can sometimes help to use a terminal prompt and use a program like curl to retrieve a file.

To do this, right click on the disk icon for the dataset, copy the link location, then in a terminal window at the prompt type:

prompt$ curl -O '<link>'

where <link> is the URL you copied from the disk icon, do not include the "<>" inside the quotes.

Please give this a try and see how it works for you,

Questions:
Is there something I can do to eliminate this?
Does this have anything to do with how busy Galaxy is?

I notice that it sometimes happens even if I try to download one file at a time
