Hi, I have tried to install BWA on my MacPro. Once installed, I typed the command make and it did not work. When installing BWA to a Linux machine, it worked fine. How do I get around this problem? Thanks, CWC
Hi Chris, MAC OS doesn't come with a compiler, you need to get Xcode from the Apple store and install to have gcc. This is free. http://developer.apple.com/xcode For help beyond that with BWA itself, the tool authors are the best source for help. http://sourceforge.net/projects/bio-bwa/ Hopefully this works out for you, Best, Jen Galaxy team ps: next time, please post questions about local installs to the galaxy-dev@bx.psu.edu mailing list.
