Galaxy works quite well for me, mostly. I have one problem to view my own data in UCSC.\
There is a link "display at UCSC main http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTracks?db=mm9&position=chr10:19994095-90628797&hgt.customText=http%3A%2F%2Fshire.bccs.uib.no%2Fgalaxy%2Froot%2Fdisplay_as%3Fid%3D1111%26display_app%3Ducsc test http://genome-test.cse.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTracks?db=mm9&position=chr10:19994095-90628797&hgt.customText=http%3A%2F%2Fshire.bccs.uib.no%2Fgalaxy%2Froot%2Fdisplay_as%3Fid%3D1111%26display_app%3Ducsc" when my own data was created in galaxy. It's a BED format. The link is as below:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTracks?db=mm9&position=chr10:19994095-9...
but the UCSC web return error msg:
"http://shire.bccs.uib.no/galaxy/root/display_as?id=1111&display_app=ucsc: 403 Forbidden"
I tried to test the link above, it works well, I can see the data in my browser. But why it's forbidden in UCSC display?
Hi Xianjun,
It looks like you're using authentication which is why the link works for you, but not for UCSC (since your browser is authenticated). Instructions on how to allow UCSC through your Apache proxy are located here:
