Hello!

You are receiving this email because you are registered for the GCC 2022 CoFest.

The CoFest starts at 9am on Thursday, July 21st, immediately after the last formal day of the GCC2022 meeting, and features three days of collaborative work on projects that matter to open source bioinformatics.

CoFest participants coalesce around shared interests and address common challenges related to those interests. These clusters form before, at the beginning, and throughout CoFest, and will be dynamic and highly interactive with each other.

CoFest is a self-organizing event, in which the attendees (you) propose cluster ideas to work on. Then the attendees (also you) support these ideas by expanding and signing up for them. We like to get this process started shortly before the event so we can hit the ground running while keeping ideas fresh in mind.

Here’s a link to our organizing document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XBFJWIo5v4x5YetZ3L8ZNVIt_Bps17qqpDqFlQGPv_g/edit?usp=sharing

Go ahead and bookmark that, and we’ll use it throughout the CoFest for organizing.  If you have an idea you’d like to work on, please add it following the template and examples.  If you don’t know what you want to work on, that’s fine, too!  Simply watch the document develop as we get nearer to the CoFest and think about what areas you may want to contribute to or learn about.  And of course, feel free to add your name to anything you see.

Thanks, hope to see you all soon!
