AI interview tools like Linkjob.ai — experiences or thoughts from technical community?
Hi everyone, I recently came across an AI-based interview assistant called Linkjob.ai that uses natural language models to provide mock interviews, question analysis, and suggested responses tailored to a candidate’s background and resume. While this kind of tool isn’t specific to materials science, it made me wonder whether others in our community have experience or opinions on AI-assisted interview preparation — especially for technical roles. Specifically, I’d be interested in hearing: Has anyone here used Linkjob.ai (https://www.linkjob.ai/) or similar AI interview tools for technical interview preparation? How did it compare with more traditional preparation (e.g., mentor practice, coding drills, peer mock interviews)? Did you find AI suggestions helpful for structuring answers or practicing explanations of technical concepts? I’m not looking to promote any specific service — I’m genuinely curious about what this community thinks about these tools and whether they’ve been worthwhile in practice. Thanks in advance for your insights!
I have been looking at this category too. One thing I think matters for AI interview tools is whether they can support live interviews without interfering with screen sharing or the normal interview flow. For that use case, InterviewFox is worth comparing as well: https://interviewfox.ai/ It focuses on a dual-device workflow for live and coding interviews, so the AI guidance can stay on a separate device while the main interview screen remains clean. I would be interested to hear whether others here have tried this kind of setup for technical interviews.
