Help Needed: Mobile LCP Exceeding 2.5s Due to Hero Image
I am currently investigating a persistent Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) failure on my mobile site. While my desktop scores are in the "Good" range, mobile users are experiencing LCP times exceeding 2.7 seconds. According to PageSpeed Insights, the primary issue isn't file size—the hero image is a highly compressed WebP under 50KB. Instead, the report highlights significant Resource Load Delay and Element Render Delay. I have already implemented srcset for responsive delivery and added fetchpriority="high" to the image tag, but the "Poor" rating persists on throttled 4G connections. I suspect that my render-blocking JavaScript or late-loading CSS might be pushing the image paint back. Has anyone successfully reduced LCP by moving the hero image out of a background-image CSS property and into an inline <img> tag? I’m also looking for advice on whether a Service Worker could be interfering with the initial paint. https://pedircitasdni.es/andalucia/granada/
