Dear all,

Just a notice and friendly reminder that the 2021 Galaxy Community Conference (GCC2021) is coming up, being held online from 28 June to 2 July 2021. The event features a training week, three days of conference and concludes with a 2-days CollaborationFest. As in previous editions, talks and poster presentations for the conference will be selected upon abstract submission.

In particular, we are interested in organizing a track “Applied genomics beyond the academic field”, for which a lot of the work done by people related to and involved in the Galaxy Public Health Community might be relevant as most of us are active to some extent in applied genomics. I would therefore like encouraging you to consider submitting an abstract!

Presentations can be long talks (15 minutes), lightning talks (5-6 minutes), posters and/or demos. Similar material can be presented in a talk, poster, and demo. The deadline for abstract submission is 23 April. Proposals can be submitted via the link on the GCC 2021 conference website. Authors will be notified of acceptance status by the 10th of May.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Please feel free to forward this message to other scientists for which you feel this could be of interest.

Best regards,

K
