wrt 1) we are planing to have a BoF session. Although, we haven't heard
anything whether our proposal has been accepted or not, I am pretty sure
we will have one

"no access to training, BoFs, or posters/demos will be available virtually".
In previous years, we tried to do set up an ad-hoc (free) zoom meeting
(with more or less success). This will mainly depend on the location and
will be decided on short notice. I am sorry to not be able to give you
more details at this point.
