Hello, It's not currently possible to export a Page to another server, but we'll be implementing this feature in the future. You can follow progress on this issue here: https://bitbucket.org/galaxy/galaxy-central/issue/657/export-and-import-page... In the meantime, you can copy the text of a Page fairly easily by cutting and pasting text from one Page editor to another editor. All the formatting should stay intact; however, you'll have to redo the embedded items manually. Moving Pages via a database won't work well because embedded items are based on ID, and IDs for embedded items will change when they are imported into another instance (server). J. Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to export a Galaxy Page to another Galaxy server. Currently I'm using a development server and a production server and I have a Galaxy Page containing a manual with example data etc. that I'd like to make available on the production server.
Also, since I sometimes distribute a virtual machine running galaxy to users (with instructions / scripts to keep software etc. up-to-date) and like to be able to share a page with them on their own server.
I expect a Page to be in the database instead of a simple file on disk, so probably it requires database work.
