Hi Max,
that's './run_tests.sh -unit' (from the root of the clone). You can also go directly through nose (pip install nose) and running nosetests test/unit/

what is the recommended procedure for running unit tests on the current dev branch (or testing in general)? The wiki suggests `run_unit_tests.sh`, which doesn't exist. The file `./test/TESTING.md` suggests reading the wiki.
