It would be possible to do this using the use pref table, but it hasn't been implemented. Unfortunately, I am currently working on another module, but our team will eventually get to it at some point in the future..

Kanwei (Galaxy developer) mentioned that this is possible via user preference table (http://bitbucket.org/galaxy/galaxy-central/issue/286/user-customization-in-t...). However, I can't find it in the current Galaxy server. Will this be included in the upcoming releases? Is there a time line?
