Hi, We've been using your Galaxy system for some months now. Thanks :-) We're finding it very useful and have been adding modules relevant to our research. When we first established the system here in New Zealand we followed installation instructions using subversion to obtain the latest (developmental) version of galaxy. Now we'd like to update. Unfortunately when issuing "svn update" we get the following response:
svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/svn/galaxy' svn: PROPFIND of '/svn/galaxy': 405 Method Not Allowed (http://www.bx.psu.edu )
I also notice that the current install instructions all revolve around mercurial. I've tried running mercurial but there is no ".hg" file. Can you suggest how we can do an update? Hope this is ok going to galaxy-dev rather than galaxy-user. :-) Thanks, Stewart -- Stewart Stevens Software Developer - Integrated Genomics University of Otago Department of Biochemistry Tel: +64(0)3 479 7863 Fax: +64(0)3 479 7866

Hi Stewart, Unfortunately the SVN checkout won't be aware of the Mercurial version and thus cannot be updated directly from within the checkout. Checking out a new copy from Mercurial and moving the config is usually pretty simple. Do you have any/many local modifications (tools, datatypes, etc.) to Galaxy? --nate
