Volodymyr, Denys, Paul, Manchester-folks.
Thanks for voting in the calendly for the meeting on building
WorkflowHub knowledge graph.
The meeting will be:
When: Fri 2025-05-03 13:00 BST / 14:00 CEST
Where: https://zoom.us/j/96948642698
What:

Apologies to Nick for the time - I thought we better start one week
early, and then we catch up.
I'll send a calendar invite as well to those that responded, but feel
WP2 folks are free to join.
In this meeting we'll try to split the work on how we can build a
knowledge graph for WorkflowHub from its RO-Crate and associated
resources, and ponder a bit about architectural choices, e.g. Neo4J vs
Jena, workflow vs Python.
EuroScienceGateway folks, welcome Alexander and Oliver who has just
joined eScience Lab to work on RO-Crate.

Volodymyr and other interested ESG folks,
Carole is starting the WorkflowHub Publishers and Journal Forum
on 9th May 2024 and have invited some friends & family in the
journalsphere for the inaugural meeting:
- Anita De Waard (Elsevier)
- Scott Edmunds (GigaScience)
- Iain Hrynaszkiewicz (PLoS, Director, Open Research Solutions)
- Matt Cannon (Taylor & Francis, Head of Open Research),
Do you have other contacts with publishers we could invite, who may be
interested in FAIR workflow publishing? It may make sense that we
start small and then grow the "club" as the vision materialises,
so perhaps check with Carole before sharing the agenda for the first
meeting.
Volodymyr, you mentioned someone at Episciences? I think we can invite
them right away if the time works.
See agenda for 9th May:

BTW, BMJ has also just made data and code sharing mandatory:

Hi,
I've drafted a Milestone document for MS3:
"Initial EuroScienceGateway workflows registered"
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wwfUSBCW-YSFWLfZMvFz5XT6aRfIN1XO/edit#h…
As discussed in exec meeting today, the idea is to transform this to a
ESG blog post and we link to it from the EU tickbox (due end Feb), but
I'll probably also put a PDF in Zenodo as it has a Milestone type.
So this is a request to the consortium for approval of MS3 -- please
leave any comments in the above Google Doc by tomorrow (!).
Also, this is your chance to add your workflows to the WorkflowHub
collection of EuroScienceGateway. This does not have to be completed by
tomorrow as the collection is dynamic, however I have a small table as a
snapshot inside the milestone document.
The project-specific guide for ESG use of WorkflowHub is in
https://doi.org/10.48546/workflowhub.sop.8.2 -- please have a look for
how to register in WorkflowHub and add your workflow.
I've also linked to this from the MS.
As indicated in the MS document, you may also associate an existing
workflow entry to the ESG collection -- this may be the case for any of
the IWC workflows https://workflowhub.eu/projects/33 -- but you may need
to contact myself on Matrix or email to link them, e.g. if the
WorkflowHub Bot has not affiliated said workflow with your account.
