GCC2026 TRAINING & COFEST Training and CoFest begin today! Thank you for being part of GCC2026. We are excited to continue the week with hands-on training, collaborative project work, and more opportunities to connect with the Galaxy community. Hello, Today we begin GCC2026 Training and CoFest, taking place June 25–26 immediately following the main conference. Training sessions and CoFest activities run in parallel, so you can choose the sessions, projects, and conversations that best match your interests. AT A GLANCE Dates: June 25–26, 2026 Format: Training sessions and CoFest project work Venue: IUT Clermont Auvergne, Campus des Cézeaux TRAINING GCC2026 Training offers hands-on sessions across several Galaxy topics. Thursday sessions include Earth Science & Ecology, Tool Wrapping, Galaxy in Practice, and Machine Learning for Genomics. Friday sessions include Developers Do Bioinformatics, ChIP-seq/CUT&RUN/RNA-seq Analysis, Mass Spectrometry & Advanced Tool Development, and Multi-Omics. KEYNOTE SPEAKER Rayan Chikhi Assembling and exploring the world's sequencing data for biological discovery Institut Pasteur, France Rayan Chikhi is a computer scientist and group leader at Institut Pasteur, where he heads the Sequence Bioinformatics research group in the Department of Computational Biology. His research focuses on algorithms and data structures for large-scale analysis of biological sequences, including genome assembly, k-mer-based methods, and scalable indexing of massive sequencing collections. Hello, all! After getting to campus, we learned that there is an earlier tram stop that drops you off right in front of the building. Please use tram stop Cézeaux Pellez (deer/buck). The cards can be used on local T2C public transportation, including buses and trams, and provide unlimited transportation for 3 days during the event.
