Dear Galaxy Metabolomics folks,
As discussed in our last call, the GCC Collaboration Fest (CoFest) will
take place on July 9 and 10, directly after the main Galaxy conference (
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c0L4mc7s2JOx0uq6HGP3QE3V5Za20GfCh1e-KKb…)
Participation is free, open to everyone and not coupled to conference
registration, although there’s a spreadsheet available for you to sign up (
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15TWgpszWEF_QHfWIG818UYJMagcRiio7Pck…
).
This is a 2-day collaborative event where the Galaxy community gathers to
contribute code, documentation, training materials, challenging analysis
problems and use cases. It is open to everyone (regardless of background
and skills) who is interested in learning and contributing within small
teams on your topics of interest.
It would be great if we could add 1-3 metabolomics related topics to the
agenda :)
ACTION! Deadline May 31th:
1.
You are all welcome to send me suggestions of needed tools, workflows,
training or other ideas on which we could work during CoFest, the more
concrete the better.
2.
Please let me know if you consider actively joining CoFest and would
like to participate in a pre-CoFest meeting to select topics.
I will collect all ideas (from 1) and then organize a meeting in June for
everyone who considers joining the CoFest (from 2) to come up with a final
list of metabolomics topics that will be added to the official CoFest
agenda.
Looking forward to a great CoFest,
Melanie
Hi all,
it's time for another Galaxy metabolomics call. Please join us on May 6, 2
pm CET via the zoom link below.
We'll have a guest speaker: Amrita Cheema, Georgetown University School of
Medicine in Washington DC will present "Radiometabolomics: Identification
of Metabolic Predictors of Radiation Late Effects". Amrita is involved in
the ABRF Metabolomics Research Group (https://www.abrf.org/metabolomics-mrg-
) and I hope we can discuss with her also about training and
standardization in metabolomics.
If time allows, I would like to discuss if there is interest in working on
metabolomic tool(s) during the GCC hackathon. Suggestions for potential
tools are more than welcome.
Hope to see you all on Thursday.
Best,
Melanie
