Train-the-Trainer courses are for scientists with some to little or no teaching experience, who believe teaching is - or may become - a relevant aspect of their professional development.This course will cover 4 main themes: 1. learning principles applied to education and training; 2. techniques used to enhance learner engagement and participation; 3. design of sessions, courses and materials; 4. assessment and feedback in training. The participants will also sit in an actual SIB Unix command line course to observe how effective techniques are applied in a real-world training class.
