Thanks, Dave C ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <Annette.Mcgrath(a)csiro.au> Date: Tue, Jun 14, 2016 at 5:25 PM Subject: GOBLET AGM 2016 information To: all(a)mygoblet.org Hi I’m delighted to be able to provide some additional information about the upcoming GOBLET AGM which will be held in Brisbane, Australia in November 2016. *Dates* Workshops: Thurs Nov 3rd and Fri Nov 4th, 2016 AGM: Mon Nov 7th to Wed Nov 9th, 2016 Location: Workshops and the AGM will be held at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia *Logistics* Three nights hotel, bed and breakfast, will be covered for eligible GOBLET members at the Stamford Plaza, Brisbane <http://www.stamford.com.au/spb> during the GOBLET AGM. This is a city centre location and about a 5 min walk from QUT. The negotiated rate will be available for stays from November 2nd to November 10th, inclusive. Additional nights can be booked at guests own expense during this time at the negotiated rate. A GOBLET AGM dinner will be held on Nov 8th and you can indicate your attendance when you register. The workshops and AGM will be catered for all attendees. GOBLET Executive, Gold and Platinum GOBLET members are eligible for subsidised AGM attendance of 500 euros. Airfares are the responsibility of GOBLET AGM attendees. *Registration* GOBLET AGM and workshop registrations and hotel bookings will open next week. *ABACBS National Conference* This year the GOBLET AGM will be held in conjunction with the annual conference of the Australian Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Society <http://www.abacbs.org/conference> (ABACBS) on Nov 1st and 2nd. On behalf of the organising committee I am writing to cordially invite you to attend the EMBL Conference on *Lifelong Learning in the Biomedical Sciences*. This conference is a new international forum to bring together the key influencers, policymakers, trainers and stakeholders from academia, industry and the professional bodies who will shape and implement how career-long continuing professional development is managed in the future. It will encompass career-long continuing professional development for both the academic and industry sectors.
